All guests are warmly invited to both Saturday events—the morning Bat Mitzvah service itself and the evening celebration.
If you are joining from out of town, we hope you’ll also come for the Friday night dinner and a casual Sunday morning brunch at our home; we’d love the extra time together.

Friday Night Services
6:30-7:30pm*
*The temple occasionally plans service to held outdoors on the temple grounds, but outside the synagogue in nature. Our Friday night is one of those services. You won’t be hiking, of course, but please make sure you plan your footwear appropriately. If there is inclement weather, of course the service will be moved indoors to its typical location in the synagogue.

Bat Mitzvah Ceremony and Brunch
10:30am
Addie will be called to the read from the torah, signifying her becoming
an adult in the Jewish tradition.
Ceremony begins at Temple Rodef Shalom,
2100 Westmoreland Street
A celebratory lunch will immediately follow the service at the synagogue.
All family, friends, and Addie’s guests are warmly welcome.

Evening Cruise Celebration
6:45 - 10pm
Let’s cruise, dance and celebrate Addie!
We will set sail on a party boat on the Potomac, and we are planning for lovely views of
Washington, DC skyline and the monuments! The boat is big with both indoor and outdoor
spaces but feel free to bring a shawl or light jacket if you plan to be on the top deck for views!
Boarding 6:45pm
Boat departs from the Southwest Wharf 7pm and docks again 10pm
